Welcome to NorthStar Marans images!

 Browse through photos of birds, chicks and chocolate brown eggs.  We have been assembling them since 2006! Each NSM chick is carefully marked and recorded to identfy its sire.  We breed for genetic diversity and selected traits within our line, including vitality for a cold weather climate.  Confirmation, dark shell color and egg-laying capacity are among our top priorities. While no line is perfect, we do our best to select breeding stock which aligns with APA standards and preserves the rich brown egg color.  The NSM flock continually improves & we know the best is yet to come!
